We are very happy to announce the official opening our new computer lab, named after the CNN Heroes award that we were all so excited to receive in December. As Thulani was voted one of the Top Ten Heroes in 2012, the organisation received a $50,000 grant to help continue it great work on behalf of the community and youth of Kliptown. Because we are based in a disadvantaged community, one of our core goals as an organisation is to bridge the technology gap in our community.  Our new computer center will be a great help with this dream!

In our new lab, we will be providing free basic computer skills to the community, and it will be accessible to all members of our organisation as well. Our supporters, the community, and the children came in numbers to support us and view the ribbon cutting ceremony.  We are proud that KYP's extraordinary CNNHeroes achievement will live on and be remembered because of the opportunity it will provide for everyone in the community.  A huge thank you to everyone who contributed in making this initiative a success!
