It's not very often that you find private schools in urban areas of South Africa creating partnerships with public schools in the township. Luckily for our members, the St. Peter's College initiative has fostered a relationship with KYP by providing extra support for learners starting in Grade 8.

Not so long ago, our educational team were trying to finds of how they could ensure that we properly groom our current Grade 8 learners to become first rate students by the time they reach Grade 12.

Therefore, the program is scheduled to run for a period of five years until they reach Grade 12 and write their matric exams.  It will include extra tutoring in English, math, and life skills in general as well as public speaking, debating, and drama. Career guidance will also be given to assist with subject selection at the end of Grade 9, which has a big impact on students' options after high school.
